💰 Security researchers reportedly earned a $250,000 bounty for identifying the critical issue.
The most concerning detail? The same arithmetic error affected both the payment-processing logic and the mechanism designed to prevent unauthorized XRP creation.
According to the disclosure, there is no evidence that the vulnerability was exploited on public XRPL networks.
⚡ Why this matters: Blockchain security depends on more than decentralization. Even a long-standing flaw in core transaction logic can pose a serious risk if left undiscovered.
