About USIranOilTensions
US-Iran escalation risks pushed Brent’s December contract back above $100/bbl on Oct. 1. Trump called Iran’s peace plan insufficient and did not rule out action, despite saying its nuclear threat was eliminated “overnight.” Iran remains open to talks, but no breakthrough has emerged on a ceasefire, sanctions or the Strait of Hormuz. The US is sending two additional Patriot systems to Saudi Arabia and Qatar, urging Europe to tap emergency fuel reserves amid supply risks and tight fuel markets.

President Trump revealed that he planned to attack Iran tomorrow. That's another level of war games to try bring Iran, the last chance I believe, to the negotiating table. Read what he wrote:
“I have been asked by the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, and the President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to hold off on our planned Military attack of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which was scheduled

BREAKING: 🇺🇸🇪🇺 Trump pressure has succeeded; Europe will release 100 million barrels of diesel
G-7 nations agreed to release up to 100 million barrels of diesel and crude oil over four months to curb soaring fuel prices, with a major diesel release in the first 20 days. The deal came after US pressure on Germany and France.

G7 leaders issued a joint statement today on global energy security after a virtual meeting addressing volatility in oil markets. The leaders agreed to coordinate refinery maintenance schedules to avoid simultaneous capacity shutdowns, and to temporarily raise refinery utilization where feasible. They also committed to a coordinated release of 100 million barrels through the IEA over four months, with a frontloaded, substantial diesel release within the first 20 days.
Notably, the G7 reaffirmed its commitment to refrain from export restrictions on energy products between G7 countries, and called on all producers to avoid bans that could worsen market tensions. The leaders also condemned Iran's continued attacks on regional neighbors and disruption of international trade and energy security, calling for the immediate restoration of navigational rights in the Strait of Hormuz and commending U.S. efforts to keep the strait open. The IEA will monitor implementation and deliver a follow-up report within 20 days.
