How do I add funds into my Pay balance?
There are three ways to put money into your Pay balance: transfer from your OKX exchange account, receive crypto from another wallet, or get paid by someone else who uses Pay.
What do I need before I can add funds?
You need an activated Pay account. If you have not set one up yet, see How do I activate my Pay account?
To add funds from your exchange account, you also need a balance in your OKX funding account.
Where do I find the add funds options?
Open Pay
Select Add, in the row of buttons below your Pay balance
Choose one of the three options on the sheet that opens
The three options are:
Add funds — add from your OKX exchange balance
Receive crypto — get crypto from another wallet
Receive from Pay user — get paid instantly using a QR code
How do I add funds from my OKX exchange account?
You need a balance in your OKX funding account to use this option.
Select Add, then Add funds
Choose the crypto you want to add
Enter the amount, then select Next
Check the details on the preview page, then select Add
A confirmation page shows that your request has been received and is being processed
Note: if your transfer is above the daily limit, you may be asked to complete two-factor authentication before it goes through.
If your funding account does not hold enough, move funds from your trading account to your funding account first, on the Transfer page.
How do I receive crypto from another wallet?
Use this option to add crypto you hold somewhere else, including crypto held on another network.
Select Add, then Receive crypto
Choose a network from the supported networks list
Select Copy address, or select Share to send your address to someone
Send only on the network you selected. Sending on a different network can mean the funds do not arrive.
How do I get paid by another Pay user?
Select Add, then Receive from Pay user, to be paid instantly by someone else who uses Pay, using a QR code.
Why can I not select Add funds?
Add funds is available only when you have a balance in your OKX funding account. If you do not, Pay directs you to Receive crypto instead, so you can add funds from another wallet.
Why is my full exchange balance not showing when I add funds?
Two things can cause this.
The funds are in your trading account.
The amount shown comes from your funding account only. Move funds to your funding account on the Transfer page and they will appear.
Part of the balance is not available to withdraw.
Adding funds moves your crypto onchain, so Pay shows only the amount you can currently withdraw. Assets that are locked or held for another reason are not included.
How long does it take for funds to arrive in my Pay balance?
A transfer from your exchange account usually takes a few seconds. You will get an email and a push notification once it is complete.
Can I cancel a transfer after I submit it?
No. Once you select Add on the preview page, the transfer cannot be cancelled. You can move the funds back to your exchange account afterwards if you need to.
